The juvenile system is designed so that offenders can still have their futures protected. These types of crimes require a different form of advocacy on the part of the criminal defense attorney. The goal is keep your child's future from being diminished from a mistake made during their adolescence.
The confidentiality of juvenile records coupled with the various diversion programs can keep the child from having a permanent criminal record. It is my belief that all juveniles who are not guilty should go to trial because I will not plead a client to an offense they did not commit.
